Bio

Russ McLauchlan received his B.A in chemistry/biology from MacMurray College, an MBA from Pace University and an advanced degree in international studies from Columbia University. His career includes domestic and international management responsibilities primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. As an entrepreneur, McLauchlan formed Calvert Holdings, Inc. in 1996 and recently sold many of the assets in Calvert to focus on other business and personal interests. McLauchlan joined the board of advisors for Poole College of Management and with his wife, Cara, were named Persons of the Year and established the McLauchlan Fellows Leadership Series at the college. McLauchlan and Cara contributed for a distinguished professorship at the college and participated in the renovation efforts for the on-campus NC State Baseball Stadium.

In addition to the Foundation Board, McLauchlan serves as CEO of Calvert Sports Academy & Development Center, LLC, and the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust Board. McLauchlan and Cara have a son currently enrolled in the Poole College of Management.
