Development Communications and Stewardship

Powerful stories. Thoughtful thanks. Lasting results.

Part of NC State’s University Development team, Development Communications and Stewardship (DCS) is dedicated to highlighting the extraordinary difference that philanthropy makes on the Wolfpack. Our stories — written, filmed or recorded — tell how and why donors have contributed to student scholarships, faculty research, campus improvements and more. From one-time gifts to future bequests and all gifts in between, DCS celebrates the private support that has made NC State a place where talented and hardworking people can Think and Do. In the process, we hope to inspire others to follow in these generous donors’ philanthropic footsteps.

That mission isn’t finished when a gift is made, though. Expressing NC State’s ongoing gratitude to its donors, regardless of their gift amount, is an equally important part of DCS’s work. This can come via heartfelt acknowledgment letters, ThankView video messages, detailed impact reports and even special mementos for important giving milestones. Whether donors make one or many gifts to NC State, in the present or for posterity, DCS ensures that their support of the university is celebrated in true Wolfpack style.
