Bio

Katherine Peele, FAIA, LEED AP serves as Chief Practice Officer and Chairman of the Board for LS3P, a southeast-based architecture, interiors and planning firm. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, she served as president of AIA North Carolina in 2000 and currently serves as a strategic advisor for AIA National. In 2019, Peele was awarded the AIA North Carolina Gold Medal, the highest honor for an architect in North Carolina. She currently serves on the NC State Foundation Board and the NC State College of Design Leader’s Council. Peele also teaches part-time at the College of Design and has a daughter, Morgan, who is a senior in graphic design. In her 34-year career with LS3P and in her current role as Chief Practice Officer, Peele focuses on elevating design excellence, expertise and innovation.
