Parents Fund

The Parents Fund has a direct impact on the student experience at NC State by providing critical support for many of the far-reaching programs and services within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. Your contribution provides students with access to opportunities that have a tremendous impact on their college experiences, such as Alternative Service Break, undergraduate research opportunities and Living and Learning Villages.

Other Giving Opportunities for Parents

In addition to the Parents Fund, there are many other opportunities for families to enhance the student experience at NC State. You may choose to support funds with which you have a personal connection, such as your child’s college, or you may wish to direct your support to Pack Essentials, student scholarships, the Libraries, Arts NC State or one of the many other impactful initiatives on campus.

No matter how you choose to give, your contributions impact the success of all NC State students and enable us to expand and enhance academic enrichment opportunities.

A New Chapter in a Family Story

Kacey Cooper ’23 grew up hearing stories of NC State from family members who worked at the university. With support from the Nell Family Extraordinary Opportunity Scholarship, she’s continuing their legacy as a first-generation college graduate.

Alt-Textbook Program Exceeds Crowdfunding Goal

More than 60 alumni, friends and parents joined together to give $6,100 to the Libraries’ Alt-Textbook program, which helps make textbooks more affordable while amplifying faculty innovation. Crowdfunding projects are just one way the Wolfpack community comes together to make an impact.

Counseling Center Receives 150+ Gifts on Giving Tuesday

On the last Giving Tuesday, the Counseling and Prevention Services Enhancement Fund received more than $12,000 in gifts from alumni, parents, faculty and staff. This support has provided training, direct services and small comforts like tea during appointments.

Gift From Doerens Empowers Student Success

A generous gift from Dave and Sara Doeren will establish a new initiative at NC State to support students with executive functioning challenges and those who are neurodivergent. Members of the Pack have stepped forward to bolster the effort with annual gifts to the OnePack Empowered Enhancement Fund.

Stay Connected With the Office of Parents and Families Services

The mission of the Office of Parents and Families Services (PFS) is to recognize parents as natural allies with the university as we seek to help students find success and reach their goals.

Supporting Future Educators

Pete and Theresa Dyke have created a scholarship to support students who are enrolled in the College of Education who also work at the Libraries, with a preference for first-generation students. In addition to their philanthropy, Pete chairs the Libraries’ recently established Parents Advisory Committee.
