About Us

The NC State University Foundation exists solely to promote the welfare and future development of the university in its educational and scientific purposes, to seek and receive private gifts for the benefit of NC State, and to prudently manage the investment and the disbursement of these assets to advance the university’s mission. Foundation Board Members are fiduciaries – who take their jobs seriously – with obligations to the advance the mission of the respective organization and the support of the university. The NC State Foundation supports the following entities: the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, NC State University Libraries, Colleges of Design, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, and the Graduate School.

Board of Directors
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, many of whom are alumni themselves.

Foundation Committees
Smaller committees help plan and execute the Board’s directives, focusing on specific goals.

Governed by Tradition
The Foundation is governed by a set of bylaws that ensure board members stay true to NC State’s overall mission.
