Arthur Calloway ’13

For as long as he can remember, Arthur Calloway has been interested in medicine and dreamed of being a doctor.  Just for fun, he reads medical and scientific journals.  As a biology major, Arthur plans to make the most of his education and apply to medical school. “I want to be a Pediatrician.”

Outside the classroom, Arthur enjoys helping others in need.  He volunteers for the American Red Cross and Raleigh Rescue Mission, an emergency and homeless shelter.

Thanks to the support of the NC State Student Aid Fund, Arthur is able to focus all of his energy on classes, expanding his activities and helping others without worrying about money. “I am so grateful.  Receiving this award also inspires me to make the most of my experience as a student, and to do what I can to give backnow and down the road.”
