Enhancing Student Experience
At NC State many of our students’ most important experiences happen outside of the classroom. Interactive and enhanced learning opportunities are a key part of the NC State experience and are extremely valuable in today’s global society. They connect students, broaden their perspectives and prepare them to be thoughtful and engaged citizens of the world.
The Parents’ Fund gives families the opportunity to directly enhance their students’ education by providing critical dollars to support many of the far-reaching programs and services within Student Affairs that are not sufficiently supported by tuition and state funds alone.
Parents’ Fund priorities:
- Student success programs such as the Undergraduate Tutorial Center and the Career Development Center
- Student leadership experiences including Leadership in Action
- Experiential learning through study abroad opportunities like the Alternative Service Break Program
- Undergraduate research in disciplines across the university through initiatives like the Summer Research Program
Other Giving Opportunities for Parents
In addition to the Parents’ Fund, families have many other options for enhancing student experience at NC State. Families may choose to give to funds that support their child’s college or Greek organizations, student scholarships, the libraries, ARTS NC State or one of the many other initiatives across campus.
No matter how you chose to give, contributions to NC State impact the success of all students and enable us to expand and enhance academic enrichment opportunities—helping our graduates remain among the top 20 most desired by recruiters as identified by the Wall Street Journal.
