An $8.1 million gift from Dr. Moise Khayrallah and his wife, Vera Khayrallah, to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will establish the Moise A. Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studiesat NC State University. This is the largest single gift in the history of the college, establishing the first endowed center on campus and the first center on the Lebanese diaspora in the world outside of Lebanon.
Chancellor Randy Woodson announced a $4 million endowment to create NC State’s first endowed dean’s chair, within the university’s first endowed college. Steve and Judy Zelnak of Raleigh, North Carolina, have created the Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean’s Chair within the Poole College of Management.
In the mid-1920s, at just 15 years old, Roy H. Park, Sr. graduated high school and enrolled at NC State University. Twenty years after his passing, Roy’s legacy has been firmly cemented at NC State with a $50 million gift from the Park Foundation—the largest single contribution in NC State’s 126-year history—to help permanently fund the university’s prestigious Park Scholarships program.
